Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Aircraft Maintenance Technician Duties:
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair different business transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
- Keep multiple types of aircraft in peak operating condition operating under Pentastar Aviations FAR 135 Charter.
- Inspect engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories (brakes, valves, pumps, and air-conditioning systems), and other parts of the aircraft, and do the required maintenance and replacement of parts as deemed necessary.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
- Perform aircraft heavy inspections on a depot level for Pentastar Aviation’s FAR 145 Repair Station.
- Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as may be required.
- Repair sheet metal or composite surfaces, measure the tension of control cables, and check for corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail.
- Conduct functional checks of aircraft systems/flight controls and make adjustments for optimal performance.
Candidate Qualifications:
- At least 5 years experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician with a licensed FAA 145 repair station
- Must have a current FAA A&P license
- IA rating license preferred
- 3-5 years experience with at least one of the following aircraft:
- Gulfstream II, III, IV, V
- Gulfstream Galaxy/G200
- Falcon 2000
- Lear 30 or 60 series
- Challenger 601 or 604
- Hawker 700 or 800
- Citation X, Sovereign or CE680
- Prior experience in a FAR 135 maintenance organization and/or FAR 145 repair station
- Ability tread and interpret schematics, blueprints and drawings
- Basic PC skills (email, Word, Excel)
- Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required
