The Flight Follower Supervisor position is located in the Flight Operations Department.

This position has responsibility to ensure the department is in compliance with company and regulatory policies, and procedures.

The Flight Following Supervisor must provide the leadership necessary to ensure employee productivity to make operational decisions; solve problems; develop procedures; develop records/files; conduct meetings; represent the department at internal and/or external meetings.

The Flight Following Supervisor is expected to supervise and evaluate employee and team performance; provide new employee orientation; provide adequate training for employees; coach, counsel and motivate employees; ensure effective employee relations; establish effective communication lines/methods; identify and solve employee problems; and manage or elevate conflict. The Flight Following Supervisor is expected to create a cooperative, respectful, ethical, non-discriminatory, safe and quality work environment for all in the OCC.   The Flight Following Supervisor is expected to be on-site more than 50% of the time to be available to participate as needed with company initiatives with company officers.

The Flight Following Supervisor has responsibility for maintaining the 24/7 Flight Following schedule, to ensure unscheduled and scheduled absences are filled either with creative scheduling of remaining staff or filling the vacancies themselves.  Candidates are expected to provide a supervisory presence later into the evening on business days ( M-F ) as much as possible minus other schedule constraints. Candidates must be able to work odd shifts including weekend and midnight shifts. Candidate will provide additional needed support in crew scheduling, and OCC to meet the increasing demands of non-employee procurement, planning, processing, and scheduling.

This position works closely with Trip Coordinators, Charter Sales, Pilots, Outside Pentastar Customers Maintenance, Line Service, Catering to manage trip details from point of initial contact through completion. Candidates must be willing to work odd shifts including weekend and midnight shifts.


  • Dispatcher License required– prior aviation experience required (pilot, dispatcher, etc.)
  • 4-year College degree required
  • Supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft capabilities and limitations with regard to international and domestic regulations and restrictions.
  • Technical knowledge of weather, flight planning, weight and balance, etc
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills.  Proven ability with facilitating individuals and departments working more productively with each other
