Gregory J. Schmidt named President and CEO

Waterford, Mich. – Gregory J. Schmidt has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Pentastar Aviation, effective January 14, 2013.  He had been Pentastar’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2008, and had assumed the role of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer in the fall of 2012.

“Since his first day at Pentastar, Greg has demonstrated tremendous leadership and vision,” said Edsel B. Ford II, Chairman and Owner of Pentastar. “He is respected and admired not only within our organization but also throughout the business aviation community.  The growth initiatives that Pentastar is embarking on in 2013 and beyond are, largely, the direct result of Greg’s efforts – and I know this is just the beginning of great things ahead now that he is in the left seat.”

In the decade prior to joining Pentastar, Mr. Schmidt was with Pulte Homes. During his tenure there, he served as the President of Pulte Homes of Ohio, and as Manager on the Corporate Asset Management Committee for Pulte Homes, Inc.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Detroit, and a Master of Science degree in Finance from Walsh College.
