Pentastar Aviation Charter, Inc. successfully retains Wyvern Wingman designation

Waterford, Mich. – Pentastar Aviation Charter, Inc. has once more secured its designation of Wyvern Wingman Operator following a successful in-depth onsite audit, conducted by Wyvern in October 2015. The Wyvern Wingman Standard provides a safety benchmark that allows customers to assess performance expectations against recognized industry best operating practices when purchasing air charter services.

“Pentastar Aviation Charter, Inc. has a steadfast commitment to our employees’ and passengers’ safety.  Every aspect of our flight operation is governed by the highest quality standards.” said Greg Schmidt, President & CEO of Pentastar Aviation. “One of our core strategic objectives is to maintain our Wyvern Wingman designation, as it reflects our continuous adherence to regulations and ensures that our processes are certified and continuously monitored and improved.

In this audit, conducted bi-annually, a Wyvern Wingman Operator is evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria as well as against industry standards and best practices of the International Standard of Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO). The scope of the evaluation includes an evaluation of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, Safety Management System (SMS), internal evaluation program, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

Some of the most sophisticated and efficiently run flight departments around the world share certain operational traits that govern their processes, procedures, systems and policies which are commonly referred to as Industry Best Practices. The Wingman Standard is based on the operating practices of those departments and organizations. The ability to continually meet the Wyvern benchmark is a testament to an organization’s commitment to safety. “We are proud to announce that Pentastar Aviation Charter Inc. has passed their fifth consecutive Wingman audit. Their continued commitment to safety has made them an industry leader in safety culture.” says Art Dawley, Wyvern CEO.

In addition to the Wyvern Wingman designation, Pentastar Aviation Charter Inc., is a registered Stage 2 IS-BAO Operator and holds an ARG/US Platinum rating.
