WATERFORD, Mich., Jan. 5, 2026 — Pentastar Aviation has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Gulfstream GIV (1214-1534)/GIV-X (G450 All) and GV (All)/GV-SP (G550 All) series aircraft from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna. The first installations took place side-by-side and included a G450 owned by a private customer, and a G550 owned by Hatzolah Air Aviation Rescue. The installations will maximize their high-speed broadband service to elevate inflight productivity, entertainment and leisure time. Gogo Galileo the latest innovation from Gogo (NASDAQ: GOGO), leverages the Eutelsat OneWeb enterprise-grade Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite network, to deliver uninterrupted and consistent connectivity across all routes globally.
Both aircraft owners selected the Gogo Galileo hardware for its overall connectivity performance and productivity. The Gogo Galileo HDX antenna:
- Enables high-speed broadband connectivity for the first time
- Adds redundancy to existing network
- Is upgrading from AVANCE or another system
- Likes the flexibility, global coverage
- Appreciates 24/7 customer support from an expert human team
- LEO delivers uninterrupted coverage around the globe/in the region we fly
“We are excited to partner with Gogo in bringing this product to market for Gulfstream owners,” said Pentastar President & CEO, Brad Bruce. “The speed and coverage combined with the integration abilities truly make Galileo an exceptional one-of-kind solution. We’d also like to thank our launch customers for their partnership in bringing the HDX antenna to the skies. Hatzolah’s ability to utilize the system to stay connected to live medical data on the ground during their lifesaving missions is particularly unique, and we are humbled to be a small part of their incredible operation.”
Pentastar’s avionics team has extensive experience in avionics system integration design, STC development, and service and maintenance on the most sophisticated avionics systems in the industry. Operators can contact Pentastar to submit a purchase order for the HDX, which is designed to be an easy upgrade to any AVANCE system (AVANCE L3, L5, LX5, SCS).
“Owners of these Gulfstream aircraft can now optimize our advanced technology solution for best-in-class connectivity through these latest STC’s,” said Michael Skou Christensen, Gogo Chief Commercial Officer. “In addition to future-proofed connectivity, operators equipping their aircraft will benefit from added value services including live round-the-clock technical support, customized training, cybersecurity products, and the ability to maintain pace with future connectivity developments.”
With its compact size, the HDX delivers fast, low-latency performance across the full breadth of business aviation aircraft worldwide, from light jets and turboprops to the largest business jets.
