Pentastar Aviation® Sponsors 2015 Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race

Waterford, Mich. – Pentastar Aviation announces that it is a sponsor of the 91st running of the Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race, which begins July 18, from Port Huron and concludes at Mackinac Island.
“Being part of this traditional yacht race is very exciting for us,” said Greg Schmidt, Pentastar Aviation’s President and CEO. “It’s an honor to partner with the Bayview Yacht Club in its 100th year as one of this country’s most historic sailing clubs.”
Organized by the century-old Bayview club, this year’s Port Huron-to-Mackinac regatta will feature more than 260 competing boats, 2,500 sailors and 75,000 spectators.
The race begins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 just north of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron. The competitors will cover either 204 or 259 nautical miles of Lake Huron, depending on class, over two or three days and finish at Mackinac Island in the Straits of Mackinac.
