Pentastar Aviation® Sponsors Michigan Fine Arts Competition

Waterford, Mich. – Pentastar Aviation announces that it is the presenting sponsor of the 33rd Annual Michigan Fine Arts Competition, June 19-Aug. 28, at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center in Birmingham.
The Michigan Fine Arts Competition is a juried exhibition open to artists from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. All artwork in the exhibit has been created in the past year. This year’s exhibit showcases 104 works of art by 95 artists.
Apart from the exclusive, invitation-only preview from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, the Michigan Fine Arts Competition exhibits are free and open to the public. (The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, June 19, 6-8 p.m.)

This year’s MFAC is being adjudicated by Joseph Winterhalter, a painter of large-scale works in the permanent collection at the Cincinnati Art Museum and in private collections around the world. He will be giving a free “Gallery Talk” in the Birmingham Art Center’s Robinson Gallery on Saturday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to noon.
