Raising Funds for Sky Hope Network at NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference

San Antonio, Tex. – Pentastar Aviation announced the final results of their “Strikes for Sky Hope” campaign in partnership with Sky Hope Network at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Grand Prize Luncheon last week.  “Team Pentastar” raised $800 for the non-profit business aviation-based organization.

Visible throughout the conference in their bright teal bowling shirts, Team Pentastar encouraged attendees roll a frame on the Wii virtual bowling game set up in their booth to raise funds and awareness for Sky Hope.  All attendees who donated or bowled were entered into a drawing for an iPad® mini as well as four daily drawings for $100.  Pentastar Aviation matched all attendee donations.

2013 marked Pentastar’s third consecutive year supporting Sky Hope Network during the Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference.  As in previous years, the most recent effort aimed to raise funds for Sky Hope while raising awareness of volunteer opportunities among the scheduling and dispatching community.  Employees at Pentastar’s headquarters in Waterford, Mich. also took part in the fundraiser by participating in a special jeans Friday benefitting Sky Hope Network.

With many attendees testing their bowling prowess and eagerly filling the donation box, Pentastar Aviation and Sky Hope Network consider this year’s promotion a great success.

“Sky Hope is the ultimate example of business aviation giving back to the community and we’re proud to support their efforts,” said Danielle Tanner, Corporate Communications Specialist, Pentastar Aviation.  “We’re in our third year now and we’ve had repeat attendees coming back to our booth because they remember the promotions from 2011 and 2012.  It’s a great ice breaker during the conference and a fun way to give back.”

Sky Hope Network representatives noted that both the business aviation network, as well as the schedulers & dispatchers network is far-reaching and built on solid relationships, making this community the perfect fit for an organization like Sky Hope.

“For the past three years, Pentastar has supported Sky Hope Network through their fundraising actions and awareness campaign at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference as well as at their home office,” said Robin Eissler, Founder and President of Sky Hope Network.  “Sky Hope Network is grateful to Danielle Tanner and Team Pentastar for continuously contributing to Sky Hope’s mission of coordinating business aircraft to provide relief for those in need. The money raised through this year’s effort will directly support missions that strive to relieve the logistical burdens for those whose primary focus should be on getting well and/or providing care to their loved ones. Sky Hope is proud to partner with Pentastar and thanks everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts both in Texas and in Michigan.”
