International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA)

Pentastar Aviation is a member of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), a professional trade association formed more than 25 years ago. It is comprised of selected aircraft sales and brokerage businesses that are IADA Certified, and aircraft product/services companies that adhere to the highest professional standards. Promoting the growth and public understanding of the aircraft resale industry, IADA members abide by an elite 14-point Code of Ethics that provides standards of business conduct regarding aircraft transactions.

Partners in Aviation

Customers looking for a comprehensive management program with a cost-effective solution to owning and operating an aircraft, are a perfect fit for Partners in Aviation (PIA). Pentastar Aviation will utilize PIA to match two prospective owners with low to medium usage requirements, based in a common geographical area, for joint ownership and cost sharing of a new or late-model aircraft. The program will allow customers to have access to a whole aircraft while cutting the net cost of ownership in half, ease the burden of scheduling and maintenance, provide for autonomy in tax and title and ensure a seamless exit plan.

Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization (PAAO)

The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization LLC (PAAO) is a relatively new aircraft appraisal organization but its roots and foundations go back much further. In many ways, the PAAO is a continuation of the National Aircraft Appraisers Association (NAAA) which ceased operations at the end of 2018. While the NAAA had existed for over 30 years and helped many clients in their aircraft valuation needs, that organization was limited in several respects and in order to evolve, a new organization had to be established. This new association was formed by several previous members of the NAAA to improve training, exposure, knowledge, communication, cooperation, and the abilities of those who wish to join the organization.

An appraisal report written by an PAAO Senior Certified Aircraft Appraiser is an impartial, verifiable opinion of the value of a piston or turbine aircraft, requiring excellent knowledge of the aircraft being evaluated and all known factors that impact supply, demand and valuation in the aircraft marketplace. The senior certification also includes a Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) endorsement and includes the ability to work on legal cases and certain government required reports.

Aaron Cook, is a recognized leader in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and created a collegiate degree in the field in 2010 at Northwestern Michigan College. He was co-chair of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards committee for UAS inspection of critical infrastructure, created and managed a successful UAS business and was a recipient of the Michigan Aeronautics Commission Award of Excellence in 2013.
