Class 1 Cockpit iPad® Mount

Waterford, Mich. – Pentastar Aviation, continuing the ongoing expansion of its products and services offerings, has announced the introduction of an innovative, affordable, and high-quality Class 1 Cockpit iPad® Mount.  This follows last year’s launch of the Pentastar Class 2 Tablet Mount, the first mount to receive STC approval for Gulfstream aircraft.

“Our customers asked us for an affordable iPad® mount system that could be used across a broad range of aircraft,” said Greg Schmidt, Pentastar President and CEO. “This new product is the direct result of listening to pilots, and developing a solution that addresses their desire for a secure, easy-to-use mount.”

The new mount, which has a retail price of less than $100, incorporates a number of key features and benefits, including:

  • Simple one-turn locking mechanism to secure or release iPad®
  • Robust single suction cup design for better visibility through mounting window
  • Durable plastic injection-mold construction
  • Deemed “Viewable Stowage” (carry on) device by FAA; no installation certification required.
  • Conforms to FAA AC 120-76B
  • Compatible with iPad® 2, 3 (New) and 4 (Retina Display)
  • Compatible with Pentastar iPad® Charging Jacks (optional)

“Pentastar’s breadth of offerings continues to grow, driven by our loyal – and expanding – customer base,” Edsel B. Ford II, Pentastar Aviation Owner and Chairman said. “We are excited to offer this new cockpit accessory to the aviation community and we look forward to continuing to pursue innovations that make air travel safer and more enjoyable for both crews and passengers.”
