Pentastar Aviation kicks off 2014 fundraising campaign with a $1,000 to Sky Hope Network at NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference

New Orleans, La. – Pentastar Aviation announced the final results of their “Home Runs for Sky Hope” campaign in partnership with Sky Hope Network at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference Grand Prize Luncheon last week.  “Team Pentastar” pledged a $10 donation for each home run hit by attendees, raising more than $1,000 for the non-profit business aviation-based organization.

Visible throughout the conference in their royal blue baseball jerseys and custom eye black, Team Pentastar encouraged attendees to step up to the plate on the Wii virtual baseball game set up in their booth to support Sky Hope Network.  All attendees who participated were entered into a drawing for a “Pentastar Blue” Coach bag and were eligible to win one of three $100 prizes.

The 2014 conference marked Pentastar Aviation’s fourth consecutive year supporting Sky Hope Network.  With many attendees swinging for the virtual fences, Pentastar Aviation was able to donate a record amount this year.  As in previous years, the most recent effort aimed to raise funds for Sky Hope while raising awareness of volunteer opportunities among the scheduling and dispatching community.

“Thank you to Team Pentastar for hitting a home run for Sky Hope Network at this year’s NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference,” said Robin Eissler, Founder and President of Sky Hope Network.  “Pentastar’s campaign for Sky Hope Network helps spread awareness about the important role that business aviation plays during emergencies and urgent situations and raises funds to help our mission.  We appreciate the continual support of Pentastar Aviation and the business aviation community.”

Pentastar Aviation’s recent support of Sky Hope is just the first event in a year-long effort to give back to the aviation community.

“As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary this year, we recognize the business aviation community has been an integral part of our success,” said Greg Schmidt, President & CEO, Pentastar Aviation.  “We’re excited to kick off our celebration with a significant donation to Sky Hope Network and we look forward to continuing to celebrate our legacy by giving back through this and other worthy causes.”
