Pentastar Aviation Receives Safety 1st Clean Certification

WATERFORD, MI. – Pentastar Aviation, a leader in the world of business aviation, announced today that they have received the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Safety 1st Clean standard certification. The standard, implemented within Pentastar’s Executive Terminal or Fixed Base Operation (FBO), is a cleaning guideline developed in response to infectious disease and provides guidance on facility cleaning, disinfecting and facility operations in response to a pandemic. The goal of this standard is to safeguard our valued customers, their personal and corporate assets and FBO team members.

The standard is a compilation of industry best practices from government agencies such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, and offers a checklist of the measures needed to be implemented in the company’s cleaning and sanitizing regimens to protect the health of customers and staff. Upon completing the self-certification checklist and submitting the required documentation to NATA, FBOs are allowed to highlight their participation in the program by displaying the Safety 1st Clean logo.

“The safety of our customers, employees and visitors to our campus will always be our top priority,” said Pentastar President Greg Schmidt. “Implementing the NATA Safety 1st Clean standard reinforces our steadfast commitment to safety. As we continue to monitor the effects of COVID-19 daily, we are doing our part to create an environment that is clean, safe and comfortable while strictly adhering to the latest CDC, TSA and FAA protocols. We will also continue to implement leading ways to improve preventative safety measures, and consistently review new solutions designed to minimize the impact of COVID-19 as they become available.”

Pentastar Aviation adheres to the highest standards of safety and service excellence. In addition to the NATA Safety 1st Clean certification, Pentastar is also a member of the National Safety Council, Air Charter Safety Foundation and is involved in their voluntary Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). Pentastar has a robust Safety Management System, a well-documented Emergency Response Plan, and has earned numerous aviation safety designations.
